Every year the cub scouts do a family camp out. This year the weather wasn't looking so hot. We got up the canyon and this is what the sky looked like.
Within 10 minutes it was a complete down pour. We ate dinner in the tent, which was leaking like crazy.
For the most part, the kids were in good spirits. Unfortunately, James has a little anxiety, possibly inherited from yours truly. He was terrified because the lightening was so close.
Mike and the older kids stayed a played for a little while hoping that the rain would let up, but it didn't happen so this is how their camp out ended....

I'm sorry you got rained out! Rain storms during camping make me nervous too!
Oh my gosh, what a mess it was. We were soooooo grateful for all of Mike's help getting our tent taken down and everything hauled to our car. I'm glad you guys dried out and ended on a good note...it was definetely a memorable adventure!
