Our Daley Life: Whats Been going on over here

It's been a while since we've done an update so here it goes.

Mike officially graduated with his MBA in December. He's loving his time without school, but is still very busy working his 2 jobs. He's trying to find something that he can utilize his degree in, but as many of you know, the job market isn't the best right now.

Mike and I are both in the Cub Scout program in our ward. We recently had our Blue and Gold Banquet. This is basically a birthday party for the Scouting program, and what better way to have a birthday party than with Angry Birds. I think the boys had a good time. We had a busy day of getting decorations and cupcakes together.

I'm still working for ACS, although I recently had a job interview with Jet Blue, so we're keeping our fingers crossed for that one. I am also going to school. 7 more classes until I have my Associates Degree !

James made it back to 2nd chair in the clarinet, but 5th chair challenged him AGAIN! and he lost, AGAIN! He didn't let it get him down this time though. He made the school talent show playing the piano, as well as playing a solo in the Solo and Ensemble this next week. He has recently decided that he'd like to learn to play the Saxophone as well. He sure is an ambitious little guy. He is also playing basketball with the ward.

Marcus has been off track for the last couple of weeks. He loves to sleep over at grandma and grandpas, because they spoil him rotten. So he's done that a few times. Other than that he's been pretty bored. The other kids are in school, and I am usually working during the day. Marcus is doing very well at the piano, and gets to choose an instrument to play this fall. He's looking at the violin, mainly because that's what I want him to play, but ultimately, if he wants something else, I'll let him do which ever one he wants. He's doing great in school, even though he'd prefer it if he never had to go!

He was recently invited to a birthday party where they went ice skating. He had a blast! He did come home with battle wounds though. He wore ankle socks, which allowed the skate boots to rub his poor legs. He told the dad, and they bought him some bigger socks (THANK YOU!) but not before he got these. He can't wait to go again though, and has bugged me at least 2 times a day about when we can all go again.

JuliAnna is in the duel immersion program at school. We've really been questioning if we did the right thing by putting her in this program. She really struggled the first part of the year, but we just had SEP's and she is doing sooooo much better than at the beginning of the year. She is also doing very well on the piano. She is doing Cheer this year, and absolutely loves it. She is usually a good help around the house and helping with Jake.

Jake is a 2 year old. Need I say more? He's into everything, making messes, and defiant! But we love him to death! He had a check up in January on his heart and everything looks great! We will have an ultrasound done on his heart this July to check everything out, but so far so good. His vocabulary is growing on a daily basis. We still can't understand a lot of what he's saying, but he tries and so do we until we figure out what it is that he wants. He stuck a lego all the way up his nose a few weeks ago, and we ended up at the ENT to have it removed. This is him with a cotton ball with some numbing and decongestant medicine on it.
